Which of the following occurs during the ecological succession of an ecosystem?
sergey [27]

The answer is c. Living organisms modify their environment a little at a time.

The purpose of succession is for an ecosystem to reach balance state right after it is formed or after it is disturbed by man or some disasters. It will increase biodiversity and help to prevent the desertification. Living organisms modify environment a little at a time. By modifying it, they make the environment more suitable for the new species to enter the community.

Both cerebrum and cerebellum have gray matter in their surface cortex and deeper nuclei. True or False
worty [1.4K]

Answer: True

Explanation:

The cerebrum and the cerebellum are parts of brain:

Cerebellum: lies under the cerebrum. Its purpose is to coordinate movements of the muscles, to maintain posture and balance.

Cerebrum: is the main portion of the brain, which consists of hemispheres right and left. It performs higher functions such as reading vision, touch, hearing, reasoning, emotions, and thinking.

They both contain a gray mater in their surface cortex and deeper nuclie whose function is related to motor control, coordination , precision, and balance.

Hence, the statement is true.

What is an autotroph and what is a heterotroph
Usimov [2.4K]

Autographs are organisms that make their own food/energy. The only example I can think of (and the only one I think exists) is plants. They make glucose from the sun and other stuff

Heterotrophs are organisms that needs to get its energy from other sources. You and me are heterotrophs (well unless you are a plant lol). We have to eat food to get energy to survive.

Hope this helped!!!
