Answer:

membrane potential reaches threshold

many voltage-gated Na+ channels open

Na+ ions rush into the cell

membrane potential rises

Explanation:

During resting condition, the axon membrane is polarized and has a voltage of -70mV. However, when action potential occurs after reaching the threshold level (voltage is equal to -55mV) after which the axon membrane first depolarizes and then polarizes again to reach the initial resting state. The threshold potential open the sodium voltage gates channels thereby allowing sodium ions to enter into the cell. As the sodium ion enters the cell, the membrane potential become less negative. When the membrane potential reaches the mark of +30mV, the sodium gated channels closes and potassium voltage gated channel opens.

It is also due to sexual selection of mates leading to reproductive barriers. A plant with extra set of homologous chromosomes is an example. Sympatric speciation is due to isolation of new species from the population of species who arise from common anscetor.

Explain the difference between positive and negative control over transcription. drag the appropriate items to their respective
hammer [34]
The type of control is described by the response of the operon when no regulatory protein is extant. In the case of negative regulator, the genes in the operon are distinct unless they are switched off by a repressor protein. Therefore the operon will be turned on essential (the genes will be prcise) when the repressor in inactived. In the case of positive control, the genes are distinct only when an active regulator protein, an activator, is present, Thus the operon will be turned off when the positive regulatory protein is missing or inactivated.
