Empathy helps you understand other people’s feelings, even when you have not shared their experiences. Empathy makes a person greater, because you’re able to put yourself in other’s shoes, you’re able to even feel what he/she is feeling; it’s never going to be compared with the reality of those who have suffered the lost a family member during one of these natural catastrophes, for example… but at least, you’ll get to understand a little bit that person and give support in your own way. Yes. I have experienced being devastated by a strong typhoon and earthquake.
