For example, I may be close to my brother in the aspect of how we often hang out and joke around with one another. While with my parents, I share past memories with and talk along with them. I may be close to my mom in the fact that we talk about so many different things at any given occasion, while I am close to my dad when we joke around.
I do behave differently when I am around different members of my family. Depending on whether or not we are talking about my personal family and actual family, I am a lot closer, which would be obvious, to my personal family. This is because I spend more time around them and am used to their behaviors/personalities. Around my actual family, including aunts, uncles, etc., I would describe myself as less open towards them and more awkward. This is from the lack of communication with them, unlike with my parents every day. In addition to this, I do remember things about my childhood differently than other people in my family. This is due to the fact that each event/situation that one faces has a different impact based on it. I may remember something different from my brother because that specific event that I do remember may have had an important impact or was significant in shaping my life to what it is now today.
