By the end of the 1800s, there was a change in the nature of the immigrants coming to the United States. Immigration from Northe

rn Europe—England, Ireland, Germany, and Scandinavia—declined, while immigration from Italy, Russia, and Austria-Hungary grew. In fact, between 1900 and 1910, more than three-fourths of all immigrants came from these three countries. Unfortunately, these countries were far removed England, the home of our founders, and the immigrants who came from them had a hard time adjusting to life in their new country.
Which of the following best summarizes this paragraph objectively?
These new immigrants were not like the ones that built our great country. Most of the newcomers came from southern and eastern Europe.
Unlike earlier immigrants, who came from northern and western Europe, the new immigrants of the late 1800s and early 1900s came mostly from southern and eastern Europe.
The new immigrants of the late 1800s and early 1900s came mostly from southern and eastern Europe, so they could not fit in with Americans.
The founders of America came from England, but later immigrants came from other European countries and therefore did not belong in the United States.

This option defines more objectively the paragraph.

"unlike earlier immigrants, who came from northern and western Europe, the new immigrants of the late 1800s and early 1900s came mostly from southern and eastern Europe".

It is the most objective since it only indicates where the immigrants came from and gives us an objetive idea of them.

What are two results of different passing of the Kansas Nebraska act
Bess [88]

Answer:

The bill was reported to the main body of the Senate on January 4, 1854. It had been modified by Douglas, who had also authored the New Mexico Territory and Utah Territory Acts, to mirror the language from the Compromise of 1850. In the bill, a vast new Nebraska Territory was created to extend from Kansas north all the way to the 49th parallel, the US–Canada border. A large portion of Nebraska Territory would soon be split off into Dakota Territory (1861), and smaller portions transferred to Colorado Territory (1861)
