How did Suharto come to power in Indonesia?
insens350 [35]
Suharto came to power in a sort of military coup, although it was more like he wrestled power from the then president Sukarno, who was then eventually ousted. Suharto was Indonesia's second president after the de-colonization from the Dutch. Suharto was staunchly anti-Communist which landed him in a very favorable position in the eyes of the West and although a controversial figure, he is noted with for significant economic growth and industrialization and greatly increasing the health and education standards.

What was the predominant religion in Pennsylvania?Quakerism
ankoles [38]

Answer:

Quakerism

Explanation:

The Quakers are a religious group emerged in England in 1647 as a dissent from the Anglican Church. One of the pillars of the faith of the Quakers is the belief there is no need to create a clerical organization, then all faithful are ministers of God. The Quakers lived in recollection and preached the practice of pacifism, solidarity and philanthropy. In order to guarantee their moral purity, they also defended, let alone moderate, attitudes: they refused to pay tithes to the official church, to take oath before the magistrates in the courts or to pay tribute to authorities, including the king. They were still refusing to do military service and take part in wars.

They presented original ideas in 17th-century English absolutist society, and for this reason, they were eventually persecuted by Charles II. For this reason, a large part of the Quakers emigrated to the United States, where, led by William Penn, they created the colony of Pennsylvania in 1681.

Name the ruling families in Spain and France
krok68 [10]

Answer: Spain: 1) in the first part of the history there are various monarchies and Spain is not united, 2) unification of Spain in 1469 under the kings of Aragon and Castile, 3) Habsburgs (the first Habsburg in Spanish throne was Philip I The Fair, son of Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I) who ruled shortly during 1506. This dynasty reigned in Spain till 1714 (death of Charles II), 3) Bourbons (from 1714 till today). France: 1) Capet dynasty (starts with Hugh Capet), 2) Valois dynasty (which is a branch of Capet dynasty, starts with Philip VI, 1328 became the king of France), 3) Bourbon dynasty (first king of this dynasty was Henri IV, 1589). 4) short perior of Napoleon dynasty (Napoleon I), 5) Bourbon dynasty again (1814/15-1830), 6) Napoleon dynasty (so-called Second Empire, 1852-1870).

Explanation: that part of history that took place before 1469 I do not consider history of Spain because there were different monarchies there. What happened before Hugh Capet (Carolingian dynasty, Merovingian dynasty) I do not consider "France" because it was "kingdom of Francs".
