Where was Cahokia located, and how was it important to the Hopewell peoples? What did archaeologists find at the site?

If I'm not mistaken I think The Hopewell people eventually spread westward to the Illinois River Valley and into Tennessee, where the Mississippian period began some time after 800 C.E. Cahokia was built near where the Missouri, Ohio, and Illinois rivers empty into the Mississippi.

I believe the answer is Ghana (previously called the Gold Coast). On March 6, 1957, Ghana became an independent state, making it the first sub-Suharan African country to gain independence from British rule.
