First we multiply 50 and 13 and 3/4
13 and 3/4 could also = 13.75
sooo lets multiply
50 x 13.75 = 687.50
so $687.50 was spent on the stock
now lets fund out how much they sold them for
we multiply 12 and 50
50 x 12 = 600
now we need to find out the loss by subtracting
$687.50 - $600 =$ 87.50
so that means this company lost $87.50 :(
hope this helps :)

Loss per share = 13 3/4 -12 = 55/4 - 12 = (55-48)/4 =7/4 . Number of shares = 50. total loss = 50 * 7/4 = 350 /4 =175/2 =$ 87.50

Answer:

x =3

Step-by-step explanation:

3(4x + 4) = 2(5x+9) - 12

First step is to open the brackets by multiplying. It becomes

3×4x + 3×4 = 2×5x + 2×9 -12

12x + 12 = 10x + 18 - 12

Collecting like terms on the right hand side and left hand side of the equation, it becomes

12x -10x = 18 -12 -12

2x = -6

Negative sign on the right hand side of the equation overwhelms the positive sign on left hand side of the equation. It becomes

2x = -6

x = -6/2 = -3

Checking

3(4×-3 + 4) = 2(5×-3+9) - 12

-24 = -12-12= -24

So x = -3

Answer:

  5.8496 min

Step-by-step explanation:

  \displaystyle t=\frac{10}{\ln{2}}\int_{220}^{280}{\frac{1}{T-100}}\,dT=\frac{10(\ln{(280-100)}-\ln{(220-100)})}{\ln{2}}=\frac{10\ln{(3/2)}}{\ln{2}}\\\\\boxed{t\approx5.8496\quad\text{min}}

Modern calculators can perform integration with high accuracy. This one gives the same result.
