Think about what your climax is, and then think of situations that could lead up to that point.
Here are some ideas:
- They try to convince someone to fund their circus
- They try to plan a fundraiser to raise money for the circus
- They have to convince one of the circus acts (acrobat, lion tamer, clown, whatever) to stay
