In the movie Katherine is seen running to the colored building to just to use the bathroom because she is not allowed in the regular bathroom where she computes. Katherine also has to use a separate coffee mug because many whites believed that blacks carried diseases and that you couldn’t touch anything they touched. In the movie people also distrust the three lady’s ability in engineering and math.
