So you should translate the graph of the function y=x^3 2 units to the left and 3 units down. This translation is acting on function  y=f(x) in the following way:

  • translation 2 units to the left - y=f(x+2);
  • translation 3 units down - y=f(x+2)-3.

Then h=-2 and k=-3.

Answer: correct choice is A.
