Answer:

Realizing they liked each other despite their political differences.

Explanation:

This question refers to the organization Bridge the Divide which was founded by Joseph Touma and Clara Nevins. The two met at a summer program. When they began discussing their political identities, they realized that they supported different parties. Joseph Touma was a Republican, while Clara Nevins was a Democrat. Nevertheless, the two were able to engage in discussions without disliking each other or compromising their values. They began the organization in order to fight against the divisiveness of American politics.

What modern-day invention do you think has had the most impact on society and why?
Lina20 [59]
The answer to this question can be quite subjective. Some people will say that the telephone is the most important invention, or the automobile, or the plane, but for me personally, I'd choose antibiotics.
It is a modern-day invention (as opposed to the Middle Ages, for example) which changed our lives for the better. Before penicillin was discovered in the 1920s by Alexander Fleming, people were constantly dying because of most harmless diseases. But after antibiotics were invented, people were given a chance to recover from their illnesses much more easily.

Alex17521 [72]

To take advantage of large numbers of potential customers with time to shop, Labor Day has become an important weekend for discounts and rebates by retailers.

What are potential customers?

A potential customer of any business is referred to as one who appears as a prospect and has a willingness to purchase the product. It shows that the purchaser has an interest to purchase the offered goods and services.

Labor Day has transformed into an important weekend for discounts and incentives by many businesses in the United States, especially for back-to-sales, to capitalize on large numbers of potential customers with money to spend.
