During the war Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire fall against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United State. mainly Britain, France, and US won World War 1 Germany was the main Loser along with Australia- Hungary , the Ottoman Empire, and the other Central Powers and also Russia although Russia withdrew from the war early due to Civil War issues at home. Germany had formally surrendered on November 11th in 1918 and All Nations had agreed to stop fighting while the terms of Peace were negotiated . on June 28th 1919 Germany and the Allied Nations including Britain, France, Italy and Russia signed the Treaty of Versallies, formerly ending the war.

reasoning beside that is because it gave harsh punishments to Germany. Which left them in very bad shape and made them fall into the great depression and turn to Hitler  which we all know started WW2
