Emotions are very important when it comes to discussions on important topics. I think this because it can show that you are very passionate about that topic. For example if you were having a discussion on climate change and how people are helping to solve it, your emotions should express happiness about the situation because it is a good thing. Showing emotions during discussions can be useful, and they can persuade someone to agree with you. If you are ever in a discussion you should always express emotions.
