In order to find the epicenter of an earthquake is really simple. You have three seismographs when all three meet at one point that is where your epicenter of the earthquake will be. All seismographs have a circular diameter, so when three seismographs feel an earthquake they will all meet in one common location.

SHOULD WE SCOFF AT THE IDEA OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT? By James Kuzner central idea?
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

The central idea of the text by James Kuzner is that the very idea of "love at first sight" is possible, depending on the persons involved. Though most people may find it impossible or even improbable for love to happen in such short notice, Kuzner seems to imply that it is indeed possible.

Explanation:

James Kuzner's informational text <em>Should We Scoff at the Idea of Love at First Sight?</em> details the two contrasting yet dominating ideas of <em>"love at first sight"</em>. In his essay, he presents an argument of how both sides of the argument can be approached, but at the same time, provide a compelling approach to the idea.

The whole paper details how most people seem to denounce the theory of falling in love at first sight, or even having a connection in a short time. But while this idea may also seem impossible or even illogical, Shakespeare is proof that some people do have the connection even in such a short time of their meeting. So, while most people may not believe in the possibility of love, Shakespeare's "Romeo and Ju l iet" is proof that it is indeed possible. It all depends on the persons involved, even though there may be times when there's a conflict between love and infatuation, or even lust. Whether it be scientific experiments or surveys, there is a slight possibility that it is indeed possible for such occurrence.

Read the excerpt from Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.
alexgriva [62]

Answer: by asking one’s sibling what it is like to have trouble falling asleep

Explanation:

Text-to-self connections refers to the personal connections which a reader makes between a piece of reading material and the personal experience of the reader.

Since in the excerpt, the person couldn't sleep, then the reader can make a text-to-self connection for this excerpt by asking one’s sibling what it is like to have trouble falling asleep.

The excerpt is taken from Patrick Henry's famous "Give me liberty or give me death" speech at the Second Virginia Convention in
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

2.

Explanation:

In his famous speech '<u>Give me liberty or give me death</u>,' Patrick Henry urged the American Colonies to fight against England for freedom. The speech was delivered on 23rd March 1775 to the Second Virginia Convention. The speech was highly rhetorical.

The sentence that suggests the belief of Henry in the sufficiency of armed forces to the colonists is the second option.

<u><em>"Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power."</em></u>

The word 'means' is used to refer to the armed resources that Henry believed to be bestowed by God of nature to them.

So, the correct answer is option 2.
