Answer:

The division of different areas in a continent by water bodies is called continental divide.

Explanation:

In the continental divide, a common water body divides into two or more parts. Thus with the river flow division, many regions are formed. This newly formed areas with the water bodies call continental divide. In the United States, in North America, the Rocky mountain ranges divide a common river flow toward the west and the east. In the west, the river water flows into the Pacific ocean and in the east, the river falls into Mississippi River, then to Golf of Mexico. Thus the whole area is called the continental divide where many regions are surrounded by water bodies and separated from each other. The continental divide has seen in many areas of the world.

Answer:

plants take in carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) from the air and soil.

Explanation:

During photosynthesis, plants take in carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) from the air and soil. Within the plant cell, the water is oxidized, meaning it loses electrons, while the carbon dioxide is reduced, meaning it gains electrons. This transforms the water into oxygen and the carbon dioxide into glucose.
