Two birds sit at the top of two different trees. The distance between the first bird and a birdwatcher on the ground is 32 feet.

The distance between the birdwatcher and the second bird is 45 feet. A triangle is created from point Bird Watcher, point First Bird, and point Second Bird. Angle First Bird is a right angle, and angle Second Bird measures x degrees. What is the angle measure, or angle of depression, between this bird and the birdwatcher? Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

Answer:

x = 45.3°

Step-by-step explanation:

The distant between the first bird and the bird watcher is opposite to the reference angle, x° = 32 ft

The hypotenuse is the distance between the second bird and the bird watcher = 45 ft.

Therefore,

sin(x) = \frac{opp}{hyp} = \frac{32}{45}

sin(x) = \frac{32}{45} = 0.7111

x = sin^{-1}(0.7111)

x = 45.3

PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

The measure of the arc CD = 64°

Step-by-step explanation:

It is required to find the measure of the arc CD in degrees.

So, as shown at the graph

BE and AD are are diameters of circle P

And ∠APE is a right angle ⇒ ∠APE = 90°

So, BE⊥AD

And so, ∠BPE = 90° ⇒(1)

But it is given: ∠BPE = (33k-9)° ⇒(2)

From (1) and (2)

∴ 33k - 9 = 90

∴ 33k = 90 + 9 = 99

∴ k = 99/33 = 3

The measure of the arc CD = ∠CPD = 20k + 4

By substitution with k

∴ The measure of the arc CD = 20*3 + 4 = 60 + 4 = 64°

F(x)=2x^2-5x+4 find f(-4) how do i do that?
Mars2501 [29]

Answer:

f(4)=2(x)^2-5(4)+4

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) is basically just y, but it is also telling you what the value of x is. So if f(4) then that means that x is 4, so you can just replace x with 4 and simplify. Hope this helps :)

Which line has the same slope as the line passing through (-4,-1)and (-1,8)?
marusya05 [52]

Answer:

A: 9x-3y =5

Step-by-step explanation:

slope of the line = (8-(-1))/(-1)-(-4) = 3

so y = mx+ c , where m= slope

the equation 9x-3y= 5 has the slope 3 since we can make y the subject of the formula to get

y= 3x - 5/3..here m is also equal to 3
