Look up the word "Tod" in German. What does it mean? How does this change your perception of Brother Tod Clifton's importance to
Nuetrik [128]

Answer and Explanation:

The word "Tod" means "dead" in German. This shows a vision of the life of Tod Clifton, who despite being a good, sensitive man with many promising ideas, was plagued by violence, intolerance and discrimination for being black, led to enter a highly depressed state that killed him inside and on the outside.

This question is about the book "Invisible Man" that shows the reality of black people in America who were judged by stereotypes and racist concepts, but not by who they really were.

If Bismuth-212 has a half-life of 60.5 seconds, how many grams of the sample will be left after 121 seconds?
Alex787 [66]
Depends on how many grams of the sample exist.

Think of half life as the amount of time it takes to split the item in half. With that half life, divide starting the grams by 2 (for the first 60.5 seconds). Because the question is asking for 121 seconds, divide the grams you just divided by 2 again. That should get you your answer.

Hope this helps!

Which is the graph of f (x) = f (one-half) Superscript x?
Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

See attachment.

Explanation:

The given function is f(x)=(\frac{1}{2})^x

This function is of the form f(x)=b^x where 0<b<1

This is an exponential decay function.

To see it clearly, we rewrite this function to get:

f(x)=2^{-x}

This graph will be asymptotic to the x-axis as x-values approaches positive infinity.

The y-intercept is at (0,1).

The graph is shown in the attachment

a piece of clay with mass m is traveling with an unknown velocity in the positive x-direction, when it collides and sticks to a
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

5\ \text{m/s}

Explanation:

m_1 = Mass of clay = m

m_2 = Mass of block = 3m

u = Velocity of clay

v = Velocity of block = -3 m/s

v_c = Velocity of combined mass = -1 m/s

As mometum in the system is conserved we get

m_1u+m_2v=(m_1+m_2)v_c\\\Rightarrow u=\dfrac{(m_1+m_2)v_c-m_2v}{m_1}\\\Rightarrow u=\dfrac{(m+3m)\times -1-3m\times -3}{m}\\\Rightarrow u=\dfrac{5m}{5}\\\Rightarrow u=5\ \text{m/s}

The original velocity of the clay mass was 5\ \text{m/s}.
