The key reason for the creation of law courts during the early development of the English common law was the necessity of King Henry II to unify the country. He wanted to eliminate arbitrariness and some illegal practices, so he decided to send his judges to hear the disputes throughout the country. The verdict was recorded in a file called precedent.
