\bf \sqrt{8}\implies \sqrt{2\cdot 2\cdot 2}\implies \sqrt{2^2\cdot 2}\implies 2\sqrt{2}

it just so happen that √2 is an irrational number, so any product with it as a factor, will yield an irrational number as well.

factoid:   Ancient Greeks were scared of irrational numbers, and they steered clear from √2.

Find the inverse of ????−7 −2
Masja [62]

Answer:

A^{-1}=\begin{bmatrix}1 & 2\\ -4 & -7\end{bmatrix}

Step-by-step explanation:

A=\begin{bmatrix}-7 & -2\\ 4 & 1\end{bmatrix}

det\ A=-7\times 1-(-2)\times 4\\\Rightarrow det\ A=1

A^{-1}=\frac{1}{det\ A}\begin{bmatrix}1 & 2\\ -4 & -7\end{bmatrix}\\\Rightarrow A^{-1}=\frac{1}{1}\begin{bmatrix}1 & 2\\ -4 & -7\end{bmatrix}\\\Rightarrow A^{-1}=\begin{bmatrix}1 & 2\\ -4 & -7\end{bmatrix}

\therefore A^{-1}=\begin{bmatrix}1 & 2\\ -4 & -7\end{bmatrix}

A.A^{-1}=\begin{bmatrix}-7 & -2\\ 4 & 1\end{bmatrix}\times \begin{bmatrix}1 & 2\\ -4 & -7\end{bmatrix}\\\Rightarrow A.A^{-1}=\begin{pmatrix}\left(-7\right)\cdot \:1+\left(-2\right)\left(-4\right)&\left(-7\right)\cdot \:2+\left(-2\right)\left(-7\right)\\ 4\cdot \:1+1\cdot \left(-4\right)&4\cdot \:2+1\cdot \left(-7\right)\end{pmatrix}\\\Rightarrow A.A^{-1}=\begin{pmatrix}1&0\\ 0&1\end{pmatrix}

Hence, confirmed

Write an algebraic equation based on the description. Two angles form a linear pair. The measure of one angle is 24° more than t
IgorC [24]
<h2><u>Answer:-</u></h2>

Given:

Two angles form a linear pair.

It means sum of their measures = 180°.

And,

Measure of one angle is 24° greater than the other.

Let the other angle be x.

→ First angle = (x + 24)

According to the question,

<h3>→ x + x + 24 = 180</h3>

→ 2x = 180 - 24

→ 2x = 156

→ x = 156/2

<h3>→ X = 78°</h3>

<u>There</u><u>fore</u><u>,</u>

  • 1st angle = 78°
  • 2nd angle = 78° + 24° = 102°
