Answer:

Siddartha's first rule was proper understanding, by which he meant realizing that there is nothing essentially permanent, that there is only change. His next rule was proper attitude, by which he meant not wanting the impossible and accepting the inevitable. And his third rule was proper speech, which he believed important because words preceded actions.

What was the impact of European colonization on Native Americans? Give at least two examples. (Make sure to use full sentences a
Dovator [93]

The European colonization had devastating impact on Native Americans due to environmental changes and the introduction of diseases:

 1. The introduction of European weapons linked to the popularity of beavers led to overhunting. Overhunting led to the extinction of beavers which affected the ecosystem as a whole. Europeans also brought pigs to the new land that ended up eating the foods deers and other animals depended on leading to scarcity.
 2. Europeans brought with them diseases (such as smallpox) that the native population were NOT immune to which resulted in a great number of deaths. The high mortality rate of the older population meant the loss of both tradition and knowledge.

how did president kennedy respond to james h. meredith's attempt to enroll at the university of mississippi?
alexgriva [62]

He sent federal troops to protect Meredith and allow him to enroll.

In 1962, an African American man named James Meredith attempted to enroll at the all-white University of Mississippi. After the Kennedy administration brought out 31,000 National Guardsmen and other federal forces to execute the law, riots broke out on the Ole Miss campus, leaving two people dead, hundreds injured, and many others jailed.

Brown v. Board of Education, a landmark 1954 Supreme Court case, determined that racial segregation in educational and other institutions violated the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution, which guaranteed equal treatment of the law to all people within its authority.

This judgement substantially undermined the "separate but equal" rule established in 1896 by an earlier court case, Plessy v. Ferguson, which determined that equal protection was not breached as long as both groups were treated with reasonably equal conditions.
