How is water a renewable resource but still limited?

Biology

Answer:

Freshwater is limited, while salt water is plentiful

Explanation:

Water is considered a renewable resource because it goes through the water cycle over and over again. Freshwater however is accountable for only 3% of Earth's water. Humans use around 70% of that water for agriculture and the other 30% for other purposes, such as consumption. Though it's considered renewable because it goes through the water cycle, this also causes it to be limited because of evaporation. Every year, due to evaporation, the Earth loses about  9,467 cubic meters of water every year. Though this seems like alot, on a bigger scale, if you account for the Earth's oceans, it is quite a small amount. It would take millions of years before evaporation caused an international drought.

Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

1. D. Only DNA contains genetic information

2. D. Nitrogen and Phosphorus

Explanation:

1. Lipids are insoluble in water unlike other molecules. It stores energy within the fat tissues and cushion internal organs against trauma.

Carbohydrates are sugar units such as monosaccharides, disaccharides molecules which makes up starch that is fuel to your cells.

DNA is a type of nucleic acid that contains genetic information which influences your personal characteristics.

2. The family Rhopalodiaceae has the ability to perform nitrogen fixation, which allows diatoms to fix atmospheric nitrogen. And phosphorus has been found in some diatom species in the Black sea region which does not affect its reproduction rate and also helps in carbon cycle.

Snezhnost [94]
The answer would be osmosis

Osmosis is the movement of water caused by the difference in osmotic pressure. The salt or any solute that hydrophilic will attract water. But since it cannot move/diffuse pass the membrane, it is the water that will move to the solute. This will cause the volume of the box with more solute/salt increases.
