Qin Shi Huang (or Shi Huangdi) was the first emperor of unified China and ruled from 246 to 210 BC. During the 35 years of his rule, Qin was responsible for magnificent and gigantic construction projects. It has led China to enormous cultural and intellectual growth as well as much destruction.

Whether Qin Shi Huang should be remembered for his creations or for his tyranny is still disputed, but everyone agrees that, as the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty, he was one of the most important rulers in the history of China. The oppression of suspects of dissent is considered the reason for the fall of the rapid centralization of power, similar to what happened with Qin Shih Huangdi.
