History

Answer: The Cistercian order was founded in the XI century near Burgundy by monks who wanted to more strictly abide to The Benedictine Rules.

Explanation:

The Cisternians re-introduced manual labour for monks as their core principle of their way of life and rejected any sort of feudal revenue done by trade.

They broke off from the benedictine order since they perceived that the order had strayed away from the rules given by St.Benedictine by trading, producing goods like Ale and leaving behind manual labor.

The Cisternians differenciated themselves from the Benedicts by wearing white robes instead of the black used by the benedictines and seeked for a more isolated existence, strictly abiding to Benedictine Rule instead of integrating with towns or villages.

Which was a source of motivation during the Age of Exploration? Your answer: the desire to find a sea route to Asia the desire t
Luden [163]

Answer:

Both a and b

Explanation:

The main motivation was a) to find a new sea route to Asia, because after the Ottoman Empire took control of Constantinople in 1453, it became harder for Western European countries to trade with Asia through the East, so they began to look for alternatives through the west.

However, b) also became a motivation. Christianity was deeply rooted in political power by the time, and the advancement of Christianity not only made the Church more powerful, but the governments as well.

Snezhnost [94]
It was the landmark case "Marbury vs. Madison" that allowed the Supreme Court to claim the power of judicial review (the authority to declare a law unconstitutional), since this now acts as one of the major "checks" the court has on the legislative branch.
