For this case we can solve the problem by making the following rule of three:
 2 1/4 yards --------------> 1 tablecloth
 18.5 yards ---------------> x
 From here, we clear the value of x.
 We have then:
 x =  \frac{18.5}{2 \frac{1}{4} }  * (1)

x = 8.22
 Rounding the value of x to the nearest integer we have:
 x = 8

Paul can make 8 tablecloths. 18.5 divided by 2.25 (or 2 and 1/4) is 8.22.

Which of the following properties will most likely have the lowest
victus00 [196]

The correct answer is A: a steel building.

Explanation:

A steel building will have the lowest premiums out of all the choices given above. After reading several insurance companies policies, a steel building has premiums 30% lower than any other homeowner policy. Steel is harder to destroy in a fire and the damage would be less than a wood home, mixed composition, or even an all brick home.

A wood home has the highest premiums out of all the choices given. When one catches on fire, they will burn fast and usually is a total loss unless the fire trucks get there in minutes.

A brick home can still be destroyed by fire on the inside even if the damage is minimal on the outside of the home.

A mixed composition home, will also be damaged by fire and could be a total loss unless fire trucks are there within minutes.

Every year after a new car is
slavikrds [6]

Answer: The value of the car after 3 years is $5,333.333

And no, the relationship is not linear, is an exponential decay.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that every year, the car loses 1/3 of its value.

So if the initial value of the car is V.

After one year, the new value of the car will be:

Value (1 year) = V - (1/3)*V = (2/3)*V

After another year, the value will be:

Value (2 years) = (2/3)*V - (1/3)*(2/3)*V = V*(2/3)^2

Ok, we already can see that this is an exponential decay.

(So no, this is not a linear relationship).

The value equation as a function of the number of years will be:

Value(N) = V*(2/3)^N

Then if the initial cost of a car is $18,000, and we want to know its value after 3 years, we need to replace V by $18,000 and N by 3 in the above equation:

Value(3) = $18,000*(2/3)^3 = $5,333.333

F(x)=-x^2-5 find the range
lina2011 [118]

x =  \frac{ - b}{2a}  \\  =   \frac{0}{2(1)}  = 0 \\ f(0) = (0)^{2}  - 5 \\  = 0 - 5 =  - 5
The vertex is at (0,-5), therefore the range goes from (-infinity, - 5]

Write an expression that is equivalent to 4n – 12 + 8y + (-3n).
Dimas [21]
It would be 1n - 12 + 8y.
4n - 3n = 1n
12 + 8y don’t mix so we can leave it.
Therefore: 1n - 12 + 8y

HELLLLPPPPPPPP PLEASEEEEEEEEE
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

10.5

Step-by-step explanation:

KET\cong KIT...... (given)

\therefore KE \cong KI.... (csct)

\therefore m(KE) =m(KI)

\therefore 10x-34= 4x + 29

\therefore 10x-4x= 34 + 29

\therefore 6x= 63

\therefore x=\frac{63}{6}

\therefore x=10.5
