a)

p = # of fruit pies sold

b = # of fruit juice bottles sold

p + b = 79  --------> p = 79 - b

1.65p + 1.36b = 118.17

Substitute p = 79 - b into 1.65p + 1.36b = 118.17

1.65(79 - b) + 1.36b = 118.17

130.35 - 1.65b + 1.36b = 118.17

130.35 - 0.29b = 118.17

- 0.29b = -130.25 + 118.17

- 0.29b = - 12.18

b = 42

p = 79 - 42

p = 37

37  fruit pies sold

42 fruit juice bottles sold

b)

Mr. Sanchez's class sold: 1.65p = 1.65 (37) = $61.05

Mr. Kelly's class sold: 1.36b = 1.36(42) = $57.12

Mr. Sanchez's class earned more money

C) $61.05 - $57.12 =  $3.93

Mr. Sanchez's class earned $3.93 more than Mr. Kelly's class

Step-by-step explanation:

g(x) = 4 {(x + 3)}^{2}  - 68 \\  \\  \because \: g(2) = 4 {(2 + 3)}^{2}  - 68  \\  = 4 {(5)}^{2}  - 68 \\  = 4(25) - 68 \\  = 100 - 68 \\  = 32

On a farm there are some cows and some chickens if the animals have a total of 40 heads and 112 legs how many cows are there? ho
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

There are 16 cows and 24 chickens in the farm.

Step-by-step explanation:

A Cow has 4 legs

Chicken has 2 legs.

Lets take there x chickens AND,

there are y number of Cows.

Now we can write two equations for the number of heads and legs.

For the number of heads we can write,

x+y=40 <--------- 1st equation

For the number of legs we can write,

2x+4y=112 <------ 2nd equation

We can now solve the simultaneous equations to find x and y

Multiply 1st equation by 2 and deduct it from 2nd equation to remove x

⇒2x+4y-2*(x+y)=112-80

⇒2x+4y-2x-2y)=112-80

⇒2y=32

⇒y=16

Therefore, there are 16 cows in the farm.

Now we can substitute the y value to the 1st equation and find x value.

x+16=40

x=24

Therefore, there are 24 chickens in the farm.

Help me yall this for me aint it.
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

20(4 + 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

GCF is just the biggest number each value can be divided by. Here, it's 20, so that goes outside of the parenthesis. Now, what can you multiply by 20 to get 80? 4, so that goes in the second box. What can you multiply by 20 to get 100? 5, so that goes in the last box. You can check your answer by doing 80 + 100 = 180; 20(9) = 180.
