Answer:

Freed enslaved people in the South faced widespread discrimination.

Explanation:

The reconstruction was a period of American history that lasted from 1865 to 1877. The term has two applications: the first applies to the entire history of the entire country from 1865 to 1877 after the Civil War; the second, to the attempted transformation of the 11 ex-Confederate states from 1863 to 1877, as ordered by Congress. The reconstruction put an end to the remnants of Confederate nationalism and put an end to slavery, making the new slaves free citizens with civil rights seemingly guaranteed by three new constitutional amendments.

Elected in 1868, Republican President Ulysses S. Grant supported the Reconstruction of Congress and reinforced the protection of African Americans in the South through the use of the Enforcement Acts passed by Congress. Grant used these measures to effectively combat the Ku Klux Klan, which was virtually annihilated, although a new incarnation of the Klan would eventually regain national prominence in the 1920s. However, President Grant could not resolve the growing tensions within the Party. Republican between the Northerners on the one hand, and the Republicans originally coming from the South on the other.

What led to the increase of immigrants from Ireland to the united statesin the mid-1840's?
kramer

Answer:

The potato blight/the potato famine of the mid 1800s in ireland devestated the country and its people. The potato crops were decimated, and many people died of starvation. This caused mass starvation, as potaos were the manin staple and food source of the irish people. They immigrated to the US in search of a better life and the american dream. There were rumors of more plentiful food and crops in the US, which was a good thing for the farmers and their families. They wanted better loves for their children, and they wouldnt have to depend on the one cash crop of potatos, when they can depend of things like tabacco, indigo, and rice and sugar cane.

The arrival of Aryan people in India led to:
Volgvan

Answer:

i think its C.

Explanation:

since the late 20th century, a growing number of scholars have rejected both the Aryan invasion hypothesis and the use of the term Aryan as a racial designation, suggesting that the Sanskrit term arya (“noble” or “distinguished”), the linguistic root of the word, was actually a social rather than an ethnic epithet. Rather, the term is used strictly in a linguistic sense, in recognition of the influence that the language of the ancient northern migrants had on the development of the Indo-European languages of South Asia. In the 19th century “Aryan” was used as a synonym for “Indo-European” and also, more restrictively, to refer to the Indo-Iranian languages. It is now used in linguistics only in the sense of the term Indo-Aryan languages, a branch of the larger Indo-European language family
