A
10 + 34 = 44 what happened to the minus sign.

B
10 +(-34) Remove the brackets.
10 + - 34 But a plus multiplied by a minus = a minus.
10 - 34 = - 24 This is how  B is written. It is the correct answer.

C
10 +(-34) comes down to 10? How. You've ignored the - 34. You can't just ignore things.

D
44? that means that when you remove the brackets in the original question, you get
10+-34 = 10 +34 = 44. But  you cannot just make the - disappear

Answer B <<<<< It is the only one that handled the minus correctly

10 + (-34) is the same as 10 - 34, for adding a negative number is the same as subtracting the two numbers

remember, one positive and one negative = negative (as it is the same as +1(-34)

B is your answer

According to the general equation for conditional probability, if P(A upside down u B)= 5/7 and P(B)=7/8 , what is P(A|B)?
natta225 [31]
P(A | B) = \frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(B)}

P(A|B) = \frac{5/7}{7/8}

P(A|B) = \frac{5}{7} \div \frac{7}{8}

P(A|B) = \frac{5}{7}\times\frac{8}{7}

P(A|B) = \frac{5*8}{7*7}

P(A|B) = \frac{40}{49}
