What reasons led James Reed and George Donner to take Hastings Cutoff? Why was their decision unwise?
ASHA 777 [7]
The Hasting's Cuttoff was an alternative road for westward travel for the immigrants who were making their way towards the California. The reason James reed and George Donner took this alternative route was because it was a shorter way.

Their decision was definitively unwise as the the trail, before their journey, was not tested and thus the undertaking was severely dangerous. Unfortunately their party got trapped by heave snowfall as many of the survivors had to resort to eating to dead in order to survive.

Due to people asking ___
Nitella [24]

Answer:

C. The Christian church

Explanation:

The black death is also referred to as black plague, great mortality, or pestilence. It was a bubonic plague pandemic that occured between 1346 and 1356 in Afro-Eurasia. Also, it lead to the death of between 75,000,000 - 200,000,000 people in North Africa, Europe and Eurasia, making the plague the most fatal pandemic to be recorded in human history.

Furthermore, a bacteria known as Yersinia pestis was responsible for this fatal, epidemic disease and it was transmitted from an infected person or rodent to humans when bitten by infected fleas. Some of the symptoms of the black death are fever, aching joints, chills, diarrhea, delirium, nausea and vomiting, formation of buboes, headache, etc.

According to the Roman Catholic (Christian) church, the plague was as a result of the sins of the people that is being punished by God. Thus, a great number of the terrified population turned to the church in order to be forgiven for their supposed sins, thus making the church become more powerful and wealthier.

In conclusion, due to people asking The Christian church questions about the cause of the black death, their authority was eventually ceased.
