Drama refers to plays, which are written to be acted on a stage by people playing the parts of characters. Prose is usually meant to be read privately by an individual (though speeches are almost always written in prose) and is the kind of writing we associate with both fiction and nonfiction books.

Answer:

Part A: C

Part B: B

Explanation:

Whitman varies the meter of his poem, while Longfellow, for the most part, does not.  The supporting lines in Part B would be those demonstrating lack of the meter in Whitman's poem, which are 4-6.

MrRissso [65]

Answer:

I would say that the phrase from the passage that most helps create a tone of desperation is: <u><em>"By heaven! I’ll make a ghost of him that lets me"</em></u>

Explanation:

This line shows the character's despair, show how he feels hopeless. He is asking, almost <u>begging for his fate</u> ("<em>By heaven!"</em>), he even makes a <u>promise to whomever would help him to change his fate</u> (<em>I’ll make a ghost of him that lets me</em>). <u>This phrase shows desperation, he screams begging for help.</u>
