Briefly describe mass society and explain how it affected the economy and leisure activities.

History
1 answer:
RSB [31]3 years ago

"Mass society is any society of the modern era that possesses a mass culture and large-scale, impersonal, social institutions. A mass society is a society in which prosperity and bureaucracy have weakened traditional social ties" This is the definition of mass society theory. I would thus hypothesize that mass society strengthens the economy greatly but likely abolishes leisure activities for the sake of economic success.

I hope this helps!

Does Gilgamesh kills Enkidu in the Cedar Forest.
lys-0071 [83]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Does Gilgamesh kill Enkidu in the Cedar Forest?

Answer: No. Gilgamesh does not kill Enkidu in the Cedar Forest. Gilgamesh kills Humbaba.

Gilgamesh, with the help of Enkidu, kills Humbaba, which in the story is regarded as the guardian of the forest, trying to protect the cedar trees.

This is part of the epic Sumerian story "THe Epic of Gilgamesh." Historians believe it is one of the oldest texts in human history, Indeed, it was written in the clay Sumerian tablets using the cuneiform scripture.

The story could be interpreted as a folklore story or a legend from the Sumerian times and their feared/beloved gods on earth.
