Answer:

The scale factor is 1/18.

Step-by-step explanation:

Nicole's best friend designed her campaign poster, which measured 3 feet by 2 feet.

We have : 1 feet = 12 inches

2 feet = 24 inches

3 feet = 36 inches

Nicole likes the poster so much, she reproduced the artwork on regular buttons that measured 2 inches by 1 1/3 inches or 1.3333 inches.

So, scale factor is = \frac{2}{36}=\frac{1}{18}

And

\frac{1.3333}{24}=\frac{1}{18}

First, we must convert the feet to inches so they have the same units.

1ft: 12 in
3(12)3 :36 inches
2(12 = 24 inches

So Nicole's poster is 36in to 24in
Her friends mini poster is 2 in to 1 1/3 in
36 divided by 2 is 18, and 24 divided by 1 1/3 also equals 18

So the scale factor is 18:1
