Yes different geographic areas have different limitations and benefits. For example Chad is a landlocked country. This means they are limited for their options of trade. In this instance it is lack of ports. While a country that is located on a large amount of oil maybe have an easier time building its economy due to its abundance of a valuable natural resource.
