Answer:

Positive effects of industrialization

A growing number of factories provided jobs to a lot of people.

Increased production capacity boosted trade of manufactured goods and earned profits for factory owners.

Mass production of manufactured goods made those goods cheaper.

Urban migration caused a growth in the number of cities and their populations.

Locomotives and ships driven by steam made transport faster.

As people earned more money, the overall standard of living improved.

Negative effects of industrialization

People were forced to work in poor conditions and at low wages in factories.

Many skilled workers, such as cotton weavers, lost their jobs to mechanized processes used in factories.

Farmers lost jobs and had to move to cities.

Children were often employed in dangerous workplaces, such as mines, or around heavy machinery.

People in cities were forced to live in small and unhealthy living spaces due to overcrowding.

Factories produced a lot of waste, which polluted the surrounding air and bodies of water.

Answer:

Positive:

 • The best outcome of industrialization was a better standard of living
 • Factory owners could now manufacture and sell stuff much faster, which meant an increase in the gross sale
 • A sense of better social standards was felt worldwide as the levels of incomes improved.
 • Industrialization has also promoted the growth of transportation facilities. With an increasing need to export and import items in a speedy fashion, the transportation sector saw an amazing development era.

Negative:

 • Child labor saw a rise during the era of industrialization. Factory owners saw the end of all their issues in children as they were the perfect “unskilled” personals for their jobs; they were easier to handle, worked for a fraction of wages their adult counterparts demanded, and could work in little, confined compartments as well.
 • Accidents were a common thing with nobody to object to such dangerous working conditions.
 • Pollution was an alarming problem. Natural resources started getting consumed at an outrageously fast rate and the soil, water and air were polluted beyond repair. Acid rain, death of aquatic life, decreasing fertility of lands, etc.

Hope this helped :)

3) Why was John Brown's raid on HARPER'S FERRY so shocking to many Southerners?
sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

Even though it failed it still raised sectional tension between the north and the south, this was one of the causes of the civil war. The very foundation of the southern economy was based on slavery, so they feared that it's abolition would result to their fall. Slave owners also feared that their own slaves would turn against them and cause riots and destruction of their property.
