The state of South Carolina passed the 1832 Ordinance of Nullification in opposition to the Tariffs passed by Congress in 1828 and 1832.

Nullification is the idea that states can deem federal laws null and void if they believe these laws violate the US Constitution. This is how the state of South Carolina felt during the early 1830's, as they saw these tariffs as acts that should be taken by the state, not federal government. The Nullification Crisis  would follow this ordinance, foreshadowing a conflict that would create a division between Northerners and Southerners.

What did George Washington's men have to do when they first arrived at Valley Forge?
Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

Washington ordered his soldiers to build wooden huts for themselves, twelve by twelve feet each, and then search the countryside for straw to use as bedding. He hoped this would keep them warm since there were not enough blankets for everyone.

List a few things supported by the federalists
Vesna [10]
  1. The ratification of a new Constitution to replace the 1777 Articles of Confederation. The Federalists believed that the Articles made the federal government too weak, and wanted to give more power to the national level of government as opposed to the state or local levels.
  2. Economic and fiscal policies which were favorable to growth, businesses, and banks. The Federalist Party defended the idea of a national bank, subsidies for manufacture and industrial development, and the implementation of a tariff to provide funds for the Treasury.
  3. Friendly relations with Great Britain. After the French Revolution made the British Crown fear a similar rejection of the monarchy on its own territory, the Federalists wanted to prevent a revolutionary war with Britain. They also hoped to gain access to the British Caribbean markets.

Why were Americans interests nearly identical to those of Latin American nations ?
kogti [31]

Even though in different ways both Americans and Latin Americans wanted freedom and independence.

The colonization in the United States consisted differently than in Latin America where exploitation took place, both parties wanted to prosper and be independent of their colonizers. In this sense it is possible to say that the interests were the same.
