Both poems discuss the passage of time. However, both discuss different aspects of this idea.

In the first poem, it will forever be spring -- time has been frozen. He is envious of the piper, who will be forever playing. (Unlike us, for whom time passes.)

In the second poem, however, time has taken its toll on the marble, which is why Keats says that Grecian grandeur has been mingled with with the "rude wasting of time." Here, looking at the marble makes him remember time passes for us all.

The theme of “Ode on a Grecian Urn” is that art is eternal and unchanging. Keats repeats the words “for ever” to show that the image on the vase never changes. By contrast, “On Seeing the Elgin Marbles” suggests that nothing lasts forever; according to the poem, even art is subject to the “rude / Wasting of old Time.”

Does Rainsford's mind change about hunting by the middle of the story "The Most Dangerous Game"?
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

I would say yes

Explanation:

Rainsfold has probably changed his mind about hunting because he had to meet Zaroff in the story. Once he realized that people like Zaroff have taken all empathy out of hunting and started hunting humans, he feels a lot more for the animals.

Rainsford changed from scared and shocked to brave and/or desperate. In the resolution, Rainsford is able to elude the clutches of General Zaroff by jumping off of the cliff. Not only that, Rainsford is able to survive the fall and possibly even be unhurt.

During Shakespeare's time, audiences would have held the witches responsible for which events in Macbeth
Vladimir [108]
They use cunning forms of temptation when they say Macbeth is destined to be king of Scotland and show him their foretelling visions/apparitions (Shakespeare I, iii, 1–75). Consequently, by placing these initial ideas in his mind, the Witches essentially put him on the path to his own ruin.
