What is the graph of the system y = –2x + 3 and 2x + 4y = –8?
2 answers:
Hello,
Answer A (graph most left)
Intersection is (10/3,-11/3)
y=-2x+3
y=-2-x/2
so -2x+3=-2-x/2
==>3x/2=5 ==>x=10/3
and y=-2*10/3+3=-11/3
Y = -2x + 3
2x + 4y = -8
4y = -2x -8
y = -2x/4 - 8/4
y = -1/2 x - 2
y = -2(1.5) + 3 = -3 + 3 = 0
y = -1/2 (0) -2 = 0 - 2 = -2
Based on my computation, it's the first graph. https://us-static.zdn.net/files/d01/7d6001f27a4a81b0644c0bfba32ec50a.gif
