Answer:

250ft

Step-by-step explanation:

45ft + 45ft of fencing for the two short ends. 80ft +80ft for the two long sides

45ft+45ft=90ft

80ft+80ft=160ft

90ft+160ft=250ft

The number X of days in the summer months that a construction crew cannot work because of the weather has the probability distri
Ronch [10]

Answer:

a.)The probability of losing no more than ten days next summer is

    0.65

b.) The probability that 8 - 12 days will be lost next summer  is 0.8

c.)  The probability there will be no days lost next summer is 0.

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability distribution for the number X of days in the summer that a construction crew cannot work because of the weather is given below:

x                    P(x)

6                   0.03

7                   0.08

8                   0.15

9                   0.2

10                  0.19

11                   0.16

12                   0.1

13                   0.07

14                   0.02

a.) To find the probability that no more than 10 days will lost next summer can be found by adding the values of probability of the days lost which are 10 days or less, that is to say we can write

p( x ≤ 10 )  = p(x=6) + p(x =7) + p(x=8) + p(x=9) + p(x=10)

                = 0.03     + 0.08    + 0.15     + 0.2     + 0.19

                = 0.65

b.) To find the probability that 8 to 12 days will be lost next summer will be given by taking into account and adding the probabilities starting form the probability when 8 days are lost to the probability when 12 days are lost

   p( 8 ≤ x ≤ 12)  = p(x=8) + p(x=9) + p(x=10) + p(x=11) + p(x=12)

                          = 0.15 +    0.2     + 0.19    +   0.16  + 0.1

                          = 0.8

c.) The probability that no days will be lost next summer will be given by

    = 1 - ( p(x=6) + p(x=7) +  p(x=8) + p(x=9) + p(10) + p(11) + p(12))

    = 1 -  1

    = 0

The probability that will be no days lost next summer is zero. We can conclude that there will be some days lost next summer.

Answer:

A) p(male)=20/30=2/3

b) p(female) = 10/30=1/3

c) p(11th grade) = 12/30=2/5

d) p(12th grade) = 18/30 = 3/5

e) p( girl and in 11th grade) =4/30=2/15

F) p(12 th grade and female) = 6/30 = 1/5

g) p(male and in 12th grade) = 12/30 = 2/5

h) p(male and if we know the student is female) = 0 if we know the student is male then she can't be male again. these are mutuallyinclusive event and they can't occur at once.FOR more details and solutions, clarification and more explanation contact me via my g mail at [email protected] and I will keep in touch....please leave your comment in thisg mail which is my tutor g mail account please.

There are 8students who have3/4 of a cake they want to share. How much of the cake will each student get if they split it evenly
emmainna [20.7K]
Hey!!

here is your answer >>>>

If there are 8 students, and who have 3/4 the cake to share equally, we will have to divide 3/4 with 8.

which is( 3/4)/(8)

Now, we will have to take a reciprocal, we get,

(3/4)(1/8)

which is 3/32

which is
Each student gets, 3/32 of the cake!

Hope my answer helps!

If a math problem asks you about how much something is for division , will the problem make you estimate?
postnew [5]

Answer:

Yes

I hope this answers your question!

Step-by-step explanation:

How do you estimate a division problem?

You can use multiplication to check your division answer this way.

1) Do the division problem.

2) Multiply the quotient times the divisor.

3) If there is a remainder, add it to the multiplication product.

4) Compare this answer to the dividend. They should be the same number (630 = 630).
