Read the excerpt below from "Sophistication" by Sherwood Anderson and answer the question that follows. Pushing his way through

the crowds in Main Street, young George Willard concealed himself in the stairway leading to Doctor Reefy's office and looked at the people. With feverish eyes he watched the faces drifting past under the store lights. Thoughts kept coming into his head and he did not want to think. He stamped impatiently on the wooden steps and looked sharply about. "Well, is she going to stay with him all day? Have I done all this waiting for nothing?" he muttered. George Willard, the Ohio village boy, was fast growing into manhood and new thoughts had been coming into his mind. All that day, amid the jam of people at the Fair, he had gone about feeling lonely. He was about to leave Winesburg to go away to some city where he hoped to get work on a city newspaper and he felt grown up. The mood that had taken possession of him was a thing known to men and unknown to boys. He felt old and a little tired. Memories awoke in him. To his mind his new sense of maturity set him apart, made of him a half-tragic figure. He wanted someone to understand the feeling that had taken possession of him after his mother's death. geniusboy [140]

The slogan is "Take care of your country, as it's your property". This slogan reveals the importance of the nation to humans.

What is Slogan?

A slogan may be defined as a brief and impressive or memorable phrase utilized in advertising to spread awareness among people.

It is the responsibility of each citizen to take care of their community or country. Because both places represent your actual identity. Unity makes things easier, wiser, and more efficient.

Therefore, it is well described above.

Can anyone spell check this poem please?
goblinko [34]

Explanation:

I have found interpunction mistakes in lines:

 • in ''Something, or somebody I know is worth my time'' There should be no comma interpunction after ''Something''.
 • ''When you're broken down, and have the same pain you've felt a thousand times.'' There should be no comma after ''Down''.

Also, another mistake that I have found is in:

 • ''Who does good, loves, and never ever lies.'' The mistake here is in ''never ever''. There should be no ''ever'' word because ''never ever'' is creating a tautology.

2. Mr. Lasher's impact on Walter's life could best be described as
Anon25 [30]

Hello. You did not enter the text to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for it to be answered. However, I will try to help you in the best possible way.

It is only possible to know the impact that Lasher had on Walter's life if you read the text. However, you can consider that this impact was transfomative, if Lasher was able to modify Walter's life in an intense and powerful way. You can consider that this impact was traumatic, if Lasher only promoted disgust and bad experiences for Walter. You can consider that this impact was ordinary, if Lasher did not promote anything intense in Walter's life, without provoking any remarkable and transforming experience. Finally, you can consider that this impact was ambiguous, if at the same time that Lasher promoted good things in Walter's life, he also promoted bad things, making it impossible to determine whether Lasher's presence was positive or negative.
