Hey there,

So basically, we are going to find the best translation of the dialect in the following excerpt.

The one that I found best in the following excerpt above would be of that <span>“My friend, why are you not speaking up? I wanted to know if you would call the soldier for us.” The reason why I have chose this one is because it have good commas and it feel's more broken down which makes the sentence make more sense.

Hope this helps.

This is another excuse that the Captain Beatty gives to Montag for why destroying books is good for the society. According to him, any person can potentially be offended by a subject, also he argues that all books are better off destroyed than allowed to incite anger. Captain Beatty uses an example of a book and linking it tobacco and cancer. Something curious is that he shows the benefit of destroying information about lung cancer to keep cigarette companies happy, but there are risks that we can see since people will be less informed of what smoking can do.

Hope this helps.

nikklg [1K]
The correct answer is C. During the American Revolution, the war for political independence from Britain, George Washington proved to be a gifted military strategist. This is the best choice. Not only does it combine the two sentences, but it also tells the reader what the American Revolution was. If someone was reading it that had no prior knowledge, this sentence gives the most detail.

Which verb is in the past perfect tense? Choose that verb to correctly complete the sentence. I __________ the soccer team to me
satela [25.4K]
The sentence should be "I had joined the soccer team to meet new friends" if you're looking for a past perfect tense verb, since this is indication it is something that is not repeated.
