Answer:

Assumption of Risk.

Explanation:

In the law of torts, <u>Assumption of Risk</u> is a <u>defence mechanism that helps to protect the defendant against plaintiff claims.</u> Meanwhile, the defendant should be able to prove that plaintiff was informed about the risk.

In the given example, the Assumption of Risk comes from the the fact that the store had a sign <em>"Caution, floor is wet and slippery"</em>. In this way store owners had informed customers about the risk and thus guaranteed <u>defence against negligence</u>.

This situation also serves as an example of the <em>secondary assumption of risk</em>. The activity of walking around premises of the convenience store does not bare a risk in itself. But in particular cases, as with a slippery floor, owners of the store owe the duty of care to their customers by informing them about the risk - with a respective sign, for instance.

In what area of China did the Japanese exert influence? What other nations did the Japanese control in 1911
Anna [14]
You have the year wrong. Japan didn't control any other nation in 1911. Japan first started occupying Chinese soil around 1931, and a full-fledged war between the countries started in 1937.

Throughout World War II, Japan primary controlled the Northeast part of China, though they occupied many areas all along the Eastern coast in the middle. They set up a "puppet" state in the Northeast called Manchuko.

Japan also invaded and occupied Korea. By 1942, they occupied Thailand, Vietnam, Burma, Malaysia, The Phillipinnes, and dozens of other territories in the South Pacific.

How did the the crusades affect muslim society?
zmey [24]
In a immediate sense, the crusades had a terrible effect on some of the Muslim and Jewish inhabitants of the Middle East. During the first Crusade, for example, adherents of the two religions joined together to defend the cities of Antioch (1097 CE) and Jeruselem (1099) from European crusaders who laid siege to them. In both cases, the Christians sacked the Cities and massacared the Muslim and Jewish defenders alive
