Question 1)
Initial value of the furniture:

The initial value of the furniture is the value in 2009 at which company bought the furniture.  This can be observed from the graph that in year 2009 the worth of furniture is $10,000. The x-axis shows the number of years since 2009. So the value corresponding to t = 0 means the value in year 2009.

Question 2)
Percentage decrease in the value of furniture:

The initial value of furniture = $10,000
The value of furniture in 2019 = $1,000

Change in the value of furniture = 10,000 - 1000 = $9000
Percentage decrease in the value of furniture = Change in value / Original Value x 100% = 9000/10000 x 100% = 90%

Thus the value of furniture decreased by 90% from 2009 to 2019. This is a decrease over 10 years period. So, the percentage decrease per year will be 9%

Question 3)
Interval over which the value of furniture is decreasing:

This answer to this question is present in the graph attached with the question. As seen from the graph the value of furniture is decreasing over the entire interval i.e. from 2009 to 2019. So the interval over which the value of furniture decreased is [0,100]. In terms of actual years this interval can be stated as [2009, 2019]
