Answer:

The first explorer to route the straits off the tip of South America as the way to the east was Ferdinand Magellan.

Explanation:

Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese navigator who was noted for having organized the first circumnavigation voyage to the globe from 1519 to 1522.

In the service of the king of Spain, he planned and commanded the maritime expedition that made the first circumnavigation voyage to the globe. He was the first to reach Tierra del Fuego on the southern tip of the Americas, to cross the strait that bears his name today and to cross the Pacific Ocean he named. Ferdinand Magellan was killed in battle in Cebu, Philippines during the expedition, later headed by Juan Sebastian Elcano until their return in 1522.

Who received a third of the nation's income during the 1920's
erma4kov [3.2K]

The top 5% of the nation's wealthiest individuals received a third of the nation's income in the 1920's. The inequality towards work conditions, education and other social factors caused a great disparity in economic wealth during the 1920's. As a result only a few were benefactors of the nation's income during that decade.
