Answer:

enzymes are biological catalysis in the body which means they speed up chemical reactions without being used up in  the process.

the main concept is the lock and key theory ,every enzyme has an active site which has a unique shape for a specific substrate.Enzymes can only catalyse one specific reaction

for an enzyme to work the substrate has to fit into the active site and if it doesn't fit the active site the reaction will not take place.,the active site may change shape a little as the substrate binds to it to get a tighter fit, this is called an induced fit.

Answer:

<em>Basically enzymes are biological catalysts. They speed up chemical reactions. Enzymes are required mostly of the chemical reactions that happen in organisms . These reactions happen in the breakdown of chemical molecules. That is what we see in our digestive system .</em>

Which derived character caused the k. monera to be divided into the k. archaebacteria and the k. eubacteria?
Flura [38]
Derived characteristics refers to those traits that have changed from ancestral form or function. The derived character, which cause K. monera to be divided into K. archeabacteria and K. eubacteria is that genetically and biochemically the two are different. The archeabacterial possess unusual lipid, which is not find in eubacteria or any other organism. And this give it the capacity to live in extreme environments.

jonny [76]

Answer:

<h2>The changes that do not affect the function of a protein are called silent mutations.</h2>

Explanation:

As given here as a mutation occurs in an original DNA template that changes the DNA, by transcription this mutation passes into RNA and changes the RNA, but it does not change the protein sequence, it means that this mutation could be silent mutation.

Silent mutation is the mutation which cause the change of a base in that, after the mutation the codon codes for the same amino acid, or the amino acid which do no cause any change in the protein, hence these changes do not affect the function of a protein.

The distinction between protostomes and deuterostomes is based on
polet [3.4K]
The distinction between protostomes and deuterostomes is based on differences in their embryological development. Protostomes develop their oral end from their first developmental opening, while deuterostomes have their oral end develop from the second opening on the dorsal surface.
