The energy that causes ocean waves to form is called a disturbing force. Restoring force is the dominant force trying to return the water surface to flatness after a wave has formed in it. ... These waves are extremely dangerous to any boater or surfer out on the water. So, stay out of the water during severe storms.

What else happened before the cherokee left. from trail of tears?
grigory [225]

Before the Cherokee left on the Trial of Tears, the Cherokee people were divided, that was the best way to handle the government´s determination to get its hands on their territory. Some wanted to stay and fight, ohers thought it was better to agree to leave in exchange for money and other concessions.

In 1835 a few self appointed representatives of the Cherokee nation negotiated the treaty of New Echota, which traded all Cherokee land east of the Mississippi for US$ 5 Million, relocation assistance and compensation for lost properties.

Which of the following BEST describes an important strength of the Articles of Confederation?
kobusy [5.1K]

Answer:

D.  It provided for a system of checks and balances.

Explanation:

After the signing of the Articles of Confederation, thirteen colonies, which became now states, adopted their own constitutions. Their main goal was to ensure those “inalienable rights,” the violation of which prompted the colonies to sever relations with Great Britain. Each constitution proclaimed certain general principles that the state government was going to follow. The constitutions of all states provided for the separation of powers into the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, the introduction of a system of checks and balances, in which each branch of government was limited and balanced by the others.
