Since a dolphin tank would be large, the capacity of water in the tank would be measured in gallons. When thinking about liquid volume, remember that a fluid ounce is about the size of a dose of cough syrup, a pint is about the size of a large drink, and think of a gallon as a 1 gallon plastic milk jug.

I need help with these two questions!! I got 72° for Question 7, I don't know I need help with both of them!! PLEASE HELP!! :)
Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

7. 49

8. 10.4

Step-by-step explanation:

7) our hypotenuse is 8, and the side opposite the base of ladder and ground angle is 6, therefore we can use Sin

sin = opposite/hypotenuse

sin(x) = 6/8 = 3/4

sin-1(3/4) = 49

8) using the theorem that alternate exterior angles are congruent

the angle opposite side x is 30

tan = opposite/adjacent

tan(30) = x/18

x = 18tan(30) = 6√(3) = 10.4

you can also use 30-60-90 special right triangles.

the side opposite 30 is x

side opposite 60 is x√(3)

and side opposite 90 is 2x

Grace [21]
If the triangle is a right triangle, the pythagorean theorem would work
since it doesn’t, the triangle is NOT A RIGHT TRIANGLE

2x(squared) + 23x-19=0
Helen [10]
Use quadratic formula

for ax^2+bx+c=0
x=\frac{-b+/- \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a}

given
2x^2+23x-19=0
a=2
b=23
c=-19

x=\frac{-23+/- \sqrt{23^2-4(2)(-19)} }{2(2)}
x=\frac{-23+/- \sqrt{529-152} }{4}
x=\frac{-23+/- \sqrt{377} }{4}

x=\frac{-23+ \sqrt{377} }{4} or \frac{-23- \sqrt{377} }{4}
