You can't do anything with this problem if you don't remember what "perimeter" means.  It means the distance all the way around all the sides of the drawing.

The sides of this drawing are  12a,  6a+8,  10a-4,  and  6a+8 .

The perimeter is the sum of all four lengths, so it's

                 (12a) + (6a+8) + (10a-4) + (6a+8)  .

Clean that up and combine the like terms, (add up all the 'a's
and add up all the plain numbers), you'll have the expression
for the perimeter.

Then, once you have the expression, set it equal to 250,
and you'll have an equation that you can solve to find ' a '.

Doing it in my head, I got a=7.  I don't know if that's correct.

I imagine the perimeter would be 12a + 6a + 8 + 10a - 4 +6a + 8.  Ummm... To simplify if would be 34a + 12.  That's all I can help you with.  Hopefully that answers your question.  (And yes the picture did show up this time)

A certain quantity decays exponentially over time. The initial quantity at t = 0 is 25,000. The quantity decays at a rate of 5%.
7nadin3 [17]
In order to sole the problem you need to create an equation to model what you are trying to do.
You end up with an equation looking like
25000*0.95^t
25000 is the starting value when t=0
95% is the amount remaining after the 5% decay
0.95 is being raised to the power of t to determine how many times it has decayed
When t=3 the equation should be
25000*0.95^3=21434.375

Using the Pythagorean theorem a^2 +b^2 = c^2, where a and b are the sides of a triangle and c is the hypotenuse.

BA and AC are sides and BC is the hypotenuse.

we have 23^2 + b^2 = 45^2

529 + b^2 = 2025

b^2 = 2025 - 529

b^2 = 1496

b = sqrt(1496)

b = 38.68 = 38.7

The length of AC = 38.7

a triangle has two angles that measure 47° and 67° what is the measure of the third angle in this triangle
Anna007 [38]
The answer to your math question is 66°.
Adding 47° and 67° is 114°.
Subtracting 114° from 180° equals 66°.
