  The climax is the point of the story that the conflict or tension hits its higher point. It´s a fundamental part of the plot, the decisive moment when arising action turns into falling action.

  After the climax comes the resolution, usually in a five-act play the climax is on act 3. When the plays reduced their acts to three the climax still placed on act 3 more near of the conclusion at the end of a play.
