Why did Commodus kill his father in the movie Gladiator?
kobusy [5.1K]
He was simply power-hungry and knew that Maximus would be named the emperor's successor upon the emperor's death. And if that wasn't enough, he wanted Maximus family killed because he feared revenge or retaliation of any kind from Maximus young boy (sort of like wiping all traces of Maximus clean from the face of earth) Maximus was very loyal to Marcus as his general and probably would have killed Commudus for murdering his own father and this, Commudus feared.

What are the absence of national identity and integration on national security and democratic governance in the world?
katovenus [111]

Answer:

A nation state is a state in which the great majority shares the same culture and is conscious of it. The nation state is an ideal in which cultural boundaries match up with political ones.[1] According to one definition, "a nation state is a sovereign state of which most of its subjects are united also by factors which defined a nation such as language or common descent."[2] It is a more precise concept than "country", since a country does not need to have a predominant ethnic group.

A nation, in the sense of a common ethnicity, may include a diaspora or refugees who live outside the nation-state; some nations of this sense do not have a state where that ethnicity predominates

ira [324]

Mary Jane was reluctant at first to make the necessary changes at work because she was afraid of the courage to change.

What gives a person courage?

The term courage is known to be the act of taking action when if one has fear to be surrounding them or even if they feel scared.

Note that Courage is the active willingness of a person to be able to confront as well as to respond without fear even if they have an anxiety or worry that might be holding on to them.

This was the same case with Mary Jane. She was fond of doing this her own way which she believes was okay and was reluctant to face her fear and move forward.

Therefore, Mary Jane was reluctant at first to make the necessary changes at work because she was afraid of the courage to change.

Compare Indian society with that of the Europeans. What differences were there? Similarities? Be sure to include in your analysi
Ghella [55]

Answer:

Indians believed that freedom was given to them by nature and they did not have to follow particular guidelines from a government. Their religion was based on worshiping the gods and what nature brings to people, following particular religious rituals was crucial to them .

Land was considered a scarred place that doesn't need to be owned as a commodity but that needed to be distributed equally

Indian women lived by certain religious values from the way they dressed to the way they carried themselves in the society . European women had different role which were more liberated playing into politics, and a functional role in society.

They took land and made it a commodity and it was distributed unequal based of the affluent status of individual.

They had different religions that they could follow since they lived liberated as compared to Indians or natives.
