Read the reflection from Kara’s narrative. 1 Ironically, it is from my much younger—and, I used to think, less wise—brother that

I learned the value of being honest even when a lie may seem far more tempting at the time. 2 I knew that what he did that day must have been extremely difficult for him. 3 Yet there he stood, taking responsibility for his actions with not a glimmer of hesitation. 4 It is this determination and resolve to do what is right—even when what is right is not what is easy—that I remembered many years later in college when faced with a similar predicament of my own. Which line would most strengthen the reflection in Kara’s essay if it were added after sentence 4? When deciding how honest to be about the role I had played in the situation, I kept thinking of my little brother and how he had the wisdom, even at his young age, to do what was right. After unintentionally breaking my roommate’s treasured figurine, I squared my shoulders and took responsibility for my actions, much like my little brother had done all those years ago. Even though it had been an accident, I was afraid to admit what had happened and found myself wishing that my younger brother could be there to bolster my courage. To this day, I still remember the incident as vividly as if it had happened yesterday, and I know it is a valuable lesson I will one day share with children of my own.

The excerpt deals with the character's choice of realization about telling the truth or lying. She chooses to say the truth as we can observe it from the development of the excerpt. If we look through the options, we can observe that the only correct answer for the excerpt is the second one - After unintentionally breaking my roommate's treasured figurine, I squared my shoulders and took responsibility for my actions, much like my little brother had done all those years ago.

The correct answer is B. After unintentionally breaking my roommate’s treasured figurine, I squared my shoulders and took responsibility for my actions, much like my little brother had done all those years ago.

Explanation:

The text presented in the question that belongs to a personal narrative reflection written by Kara and it is divided into four main sentences or sections that focus on telling the way the narrator or author learned to be honest from her brother, according to the narrator she learned to be honest as she saw her brother took responsibility for his actions despite lying was easier. Additionally, in the four and last sentence, the narrator or author adds she remembered this moment many years when she faced a similar situation while being at college. Considering the narrator states she faced a similar situation but does not explain what the situation was about the line that follows sentence 4 and that would strengthen the reflection of Kara will need to explain the situation she faced at college and how this situation compares to the behavior of being honest shown by her brother in the past. Thus, the sentence that would complete this text by strengthening the reflection of the author is "After unintentionally breaking my roommate’s treasured figurine, I squared my shoulders and took responsibility for my actions, much like my little brother had done all those years ago" as this section explains the experience the author lived and the way she decided to take responsibility and be honest in the same way her brother did in the past.

Could someone write a 5 paragraph essay on how: The death of a loved one affects youth?
devlian [24]
I will not write an essay, but I am going to help you out, (you can use my example) The death of a loved one affects youth because they can make the child depressed, lonely, confused, rejection, and experience a big wall in front of them, and they're not sure how to deal with it since they're so young this death of a loved one can be family, friends, partners. Dealing with any of these is hard I can speak on my behalf for my mom’s brother passed away when I was little he was shot in a hit-and-run while he was working. He died on my birthday and ever since it’s hard for my mom since she has to pretend to be happy while being sad it’s very tragic since he died when I was 6 ever since I have always been sad and felt it was my fault he died, and I’ve become closer in my family tree with death and the true ugliness of the after effects
